Felipe von Hausen works in the R&D departament for Computational Linguistics constantly performing Research and Studies of our processes to ensure we meet innovation.
Felipe von Hausen is a translator, professor, and academic specializing in linguistics and experimental psycholinguistics. He holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education and a Master of Science in Linguistics, with an emphasis in psycholinguistics. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the Psychology of Language at Humboldt University of Berlin, where he investigates real-time language processing using advanced experimental methodologies. His research focuses on syntactic and lexical processing, the influence of animacy on sentence comprehension, the categorization of emotional words, and the differences in language processing between autistic and neurotypical individuals. He employs techniques such as eye-tracking, electroencephalography (EEG), and statistical and computational analysis models. These approaches allow him to describe how cognitive, affective, and social factors modulate language comprehension and production. In the field of translation studies, Felipe focuses his research on the relationship between artificial intelligence and translation quality. His studies analyze the performance of machine translation (MT) systems and generative translation models (GenAI), comparing them with human translations and evaluating the interaction between programs, quality metrics, and translation practice. This approach seeks to provide evidence on the potential and limitations of emerging technologies, as well as their integration into translator training.
